The no9 ANS Motorsport Ligier-Toyota will start Round 4 of the 2026 Michelin Le Mans Cup from pole position for the second time. While in Le Castellet it was Louis Iglesias, in Spa it was Maxwell Dodds who set the best lap in damp track conditions. The British driver dominated the 15-minute session and was over 2 seconds ahead of the rest of the field.
The best lap for Dodds was a 2m23.319 at the chequered flag, with the best of the rest being Luciano Morano in the no29 Forestier Racing by VPS, the French driver posting a 2m25.357 lap.
Championship leader Enzo Peugeot put the no85 R-ace GP Duqueine at the head of Row 2 with a 2m26.535, with the no92 Forestier Racing by VPS lining up in fourth place at the end of qualifying.
The no34 Inter Europol Competition Ligier will start from the front of the LMP3 Pro/Am grid for the third time in four races, with Alexander Bukhantsov posting a best lap of 2m32.461 at the halfway point of the session.
The Inter Europol Ligier then came under pressure from the no48 Allay Racing Ligier of Emil Hellberg, the Swedish team making their MLMC debut this weekend. Hellberg moved up to second and then improved to a 2m33.231 with just over a minute left on the clock.
Meanwhile Bukhantsov ran wide on the final lap and was pinged for track limits, while Hellberg posted the best session time in sector 2 and went quicker with a 2m33.095, but was still 0.634s off the pole time.
The no62 Bretton Racing Ligier of Jacek Zielonka will start at the head of row 2, with Stefan Aust in the no71 Rinaldi Racing Ligier finishing the session in fourth place.
With the 10 GT3 competitors facing a tricky wet track, they all headed out for qualifying. The no77 SMC Motorsport McLaren 720S of Gonzalo de Andres Martin set the early pace with a 2m40.223, with Oscar Lee Ryndziewicz keeping pace in the no21 Kessel Racing Ferrari 296 GT3.
As the 15-minute session progressed the times started to come down, with de Andres Martin holding onto the provisional pole position as Alessandro Cozzi also made a bid for the top spot in the no51 AF Corse Ferrari.
As the chequered flag came out the top three cars were all on a fast lap, but Cozzi went wide in sector 2 and was pinged for track limits. Ryndziewicz crossed the line in the no21 Ferrari in 2m38.578s, to take pole position, while the no77 McLaren didn’t improve on the previous lap of 2m38.733.
The two AF Corse Ferrari’s will fill row 2 on the grid with the no51 Ferrari finishing the session in third, with the no88 296 GT3 oof Ray Acosta in fourth.
