FP2: Rogeon Goes Top in Final Practice at the Chequered Flag

The final 60-minute practice ahead of qualifying for the 2026 Road To Le Mans saw Arthur Rogeon put in the fastest lap of the session as he took the chequered flag.  The French driver crossed the line in the no12 Brutal Fish by Campos Ligier-Toyota in 3m51.101, nearly nine tenths ahead of the rest of the field.

The session was interrupted twice by red flags after cars had gone off the circuit into the gravel traps, with the final part of Free Practice resuming with 15-minutes left on the clock.

In LMP3 all of the fastest times were set in the final part of the session, with the no4 Nielsen Racing Duqueine taking second after Jules Caranta briefly held the top spot with a 3m51.997.  Matteo Franco Segre took third place in the no5 23Events Racing Ligier with a lap of 3m52.064, four tenths ahead of Lucas Fluxa Cross in the no19 Brutal Fish by Campos.

Felipe Fernandez-Laser also secured the top spot in the no71 Rinaldi Racing Ligier at the chequered flag with the German posting a 3m54.909 to move ahead of the no34 Inter Europol Competition Ligier of Shawn Rashid by just 0.091s.  The no66 Rinaldi Racing was third fastest with the fastest lap of 3m55.266 set by Mikkel Gaarde Pedersen.

The top GT3 car in the second practice session was the no10 Racing Spirit of Léman Aston Martin, with Valentin Hasse Clot finishing the session in 16th overall with a 3m55.816 lap around the 13.6km Circuit des 24 Heures.  The no72 Team WRT BMW was second fastest back in 24th overall, with a best lap of 3m58.658 set by Maxime Robin.  The no90 Ecurie Ecosse Blackthorn Aston Martin Vantage was third fastest with a 3m59.661, two places behind the Team WRT BMW at the chequered flag.

The 60-minute qualifying session to determine the grid for Friday’s race is due to start at 10h15 tomorrow morning.
