GT3: Ferrari v Porsche v Mercedes
In the GT3 category reigning team champions Kessel Racing have entered three Ferrari 488 GT3s with FIAWEC race winner Paolo Ruberti joining Russian Murod Sultanov in the no67 Ferrari.
Reigning drivers’ champion Giacomo Piccini will race for the 3 car Iron Lynx team in 2020 alongside Rino Mastronardi in the no8 Ferrari. The no9 Iron Lynx 488 will be driven by an all-female entry, with ELMS front runner Michelle Gatting joining Deborah Mayer for the two-hour race in France.
Spirit of Race will also enter a single Ferrari for Japan’s Ken Abe and the highly experienced Matteo Cressoni.
Swiss team Pzoberer Zürichsee by TFT will be making their MLMC debut with the only Porsche 911 GT3 R on the grid, which will be driven by Nicolas Leutwiler and Julien Andlauer, while reigning ELMS champions Idec Sport will enter a Mercedes AMG GT3 for Patrice Lafargue and Erik Maris.
LMP3: A Bumper 17 Car Entry at Paul Ricard
The LMP3 field will once again be large with nine Ligier JS P320 and eight Duqueine M30-D08-Nissans going head-to-head. Twelve teams will fight for the right to become 2020 Michelin Le Mans Cup champions at the end of the six-round series.
Three-time MLMC champions DKR Engineering are entering a single car with 2019 champion Laurents Hörr defending his title with the returning 2017 LMP3 champion Jean Glorieux.
Nielsen Racing will once again enter two cars, the British team looking to unseat their arch-rivals DKR Engineering and take the MLMC title after finishing runners up in 2019.
United Autosports, CD Sport and Cool Racing all return to the Michelin Le Mans Cup with a two-car entry, while Graff, Grainmarket Racing, Racing Experience and Motorsport98 also return to the series with one car each.
Belgian team Mühlner Motorsport are one of three new teams on the 2020 grid, the highly rated outfit entering a Duqueine M30s for the full season. German team Rinaldi Racing are also a new name this year and have entered two Duqueine M30s.
The final new team on the 2020 grid is MV2S Racing from France, who are entering a single Ligier JS P320-Nissan for French duo Christophe Cresp and former Formula Palmer Audi Junior Champion and Top Gear France TV presenter Bruce Jouanny.
