The championship leading no85 R-ace GP Duqueine-Toyota posted the fastest lap of the day to top the times in Free Practice 2 at Silverstone. Enzo Peugeot posted a 1m54.207 lap around the 5.891km Silverstone GP circuit, nearly half a second ahead of the best lap set in FP1 earlier in the day.
Jules Caranta was second quickest in the no4 Nielsen Racing Ligier, the French driver lapping in 1m54.692, 0.485 behind Peugeot’s best lap and 0.258s ahead of the no9 ANS Motorsport Ligier of Louis Iglesias.
The no66 Rinaldi Racing Ligier was the quickest in LMP3 Pro/Am, with Mikkel Gaarde Pedersen posting a 1m55.273, which was good enough for 7th overall and 0.132s ahead of championship leader Gillian Henrion in the no98 Motorsport98 Ligier-Toyota. The no71 Rinaldi Racing Ligier was third fastest at the end of the 60-minute session.
The no54 Dinamic GT Porsche was the fastest of the 10 GT3 cars, with former ELMS LMGTE Champion Matteo Cressoni putting in a 1m59.739 lap time, 0.098s faster than the best class lap in FP1. The no77 SMC Motorsport McLaren was second fastest with Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer recording a 1m59.799 lap, just 0.06s behind Cressoni and 0.178s ahead of the no17 Kessel Racing Ferrari.
The next session will be qualifying, with GT3 cars due to begin their 15-minute session at 12h30 BST on Saturday 12 Septmber.
