44 Entries and Titles on the Line for the 2026 Michelin Le Mans Cup Finale

The Season Finale at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve has attracted an impressive 44 car entry, with the 2026 Michelin Le Mans Cup concluding on the 4.653km circuit at Portimão.

44 Entries and Titles on the Line for the 2026 Michelin Le Mans Cup Finale
01/10/2026

The strong field will consist of 88 drivers and 31 teams, representing 28 different nations from all around the world.

LMP3: 23 Entries

With Danial Frost, Enzo Peugeot and R-ace GP putting the 2026 LMP3 title out of the reach of their rivals at Silverstone, the 23 strong LMP3 field will be going all out to finish the season on a high note by standing on the top step of the podium.

While the championship has already been clinched, the Vice Champions position will be decided between four cars, with the no12 Brutal Fish by Campos Ligier of Arthur Rogeon and August Raber holding the position on 67-points.  The Road To Le Mans race winners have a slim 5-point advantage over their teammates Matus Ryba and Lucas Fluxá Cross in the no19 Ligier.

Silverstone race winners Louis Iglesias and Maxwell Dodds are on 56-points in the no9 ANS Motorsport Ligier, with Le Castellet winners Colin Queen and Giovanni Maschio on 45-points in the no50 23Events Racing Ligier-Toyota.

There are four driver changes from Silverstone, with Arthur Pavie rejoining Mikkel Kristensen Illan at ANS Motorsport, replacing Jack Taylor in the no6 Ligier-Toyota.

Vincent Bouteiller is replacing Jules Tréluyer and will race alongside Portuguese driver André Vieira in the no22 Trajectus Motorsport Ligier-Toyota.

British driver Emily Cotty will join Bruno Ribeiro in the no26 Bretton Racing, replacing Mitchell Van Dijk for the Czech team.  The name of the driver who will join Max Van Der Snel in the no99 More Motorsport Ligier for the final race of the season is still to be declared by the team.

The LMP3 field will feature a second car run by R-ace GP, with Zack Scoular and Léna Bühler in the no86 Duqueine. Forestier Racing by VPS and CLX Motorsport will each run a pair of Ligier JS P325-Toyotas. BWT Muecke Motorsport, Vector Sport RLR, High Class Racing, Trajectus Motorsport, Bretton Racing, Ajith RedAnt Racing, Inter Europol Competition and More Motorsport will each run a single car, completing the 23-car grid for the Portimão Round.

LMP3 Pro/Am: 11 Entries

With the LMP3 championship already decided, the focus will turn to LMP3 Pro/Am and GT3.  With just 26-points left to be won, there are just two teams who are able to become LMP3 Pro/Am champions, and this will be a rematch of the dramatic class showdown of 12-months ago.

Reigning class champions Eric De Doncker and Gillian Henrion are leading the standings in the no98 Motorsport98 Ligier-Toyota, the three-time winners currently on 109-points after five races, just 14-points ahead of Silverstone race winners Steve Parrow and Mikkel Gaarde Pedersen in the no66 Rinaldi Racing Ligier JS P325.

Last year in Portimão, Rinaldi Racing and Steve Parrow thought they were champions by just one point after finishing third, with De Doncker and Henrion finishing second. However, the winning Inter Europol Competition Ligier received a time penalty, which meant the second placed Motorsport98 Ligier was promoted to the win, and this gave the Belgian team the title ahead of Rinaldi Racing.

Barcelona race winners Jacek Zielonka and Léo Sami Robinson are lying third in the overall standings in the no62 Bretton Racing Ligier. However, with a season tally of 72-points, the Czech team cannot overhaul the no98 Motorsport98 Ligier.

Stefan Aust and Felipe Fernandez-Laser are currently fourth in the standings after finishing second in Silverstone and are on 66-points in the no71 Rinaldi Racing Ligier-Toyota

Ajith Kumar and Romain Vozniak will be in the no16 Ajith RedAnt by Virage Ligier and are one of two all bronze driver crews on the grid, the other being Swedish brothers Linus and Emil Hellberg in the no48 Allay Racing.

Single car entries by P4 Racing, Racing Spirit of Léman, Inter Europol Competition, GG Classics and High Class Racing all feature unchanged driver line ups and complete the 11-car grid for the 2-hour race in Portimão

GT3: 10 Entries

The GT3 grid will once again feature ten cars, with the top four still in contention for the 2026 MLMC GT3 title.

Racing Spirit of Léman is the current team championship leader, with the no10 Aston Martin Vantage on 92-points at the top of the standings. Austrian Philipp Sager is the current driver’s championship leader after two wins in Le Mans and Barcelona. His French teammate Valentin Hasse Clot is third in the standings on 80-points after missing the race in Belgium in August.

Sager holds a slim 5-point advantage over British driver Oscar Lee Ryndziewicz in the no21 Kessel Racing Ferrari, who has also shared the driving duties with two different teammates this season, with Giacomo Altoe joining his British teammate in Portugal.

Victory for either of the top two contenders would secure the 2026 Michelin Le Mans Cup GT3 title for the team and driver.

The other two cars that are still mathematically still in contention for the title are the no54 Dinamic GT Porsche of Matteo Cressoni and Reinhold Krahn and the no17 Kessel Racing Ferrari of Silverstone race winners David Cleto Fumanelli and Lorenzo Ferdinando Innocenti.  Both teams need to win in Portugal to keep their championship aspirations alive and hope their rivals have a problem during the race.

There are two driver changes on the GT3 grid with Nicky Hays and Antoine Comeau racing together in the no11 Code Racing Development Aston Martin for the first time this season.

The Ecurie Ecosse Blackthorn Aston Martin Vantage, the Biogas Motorsport Ferrari, the two AF Corse Ferrari 296s and the SMC Motorsport McLaren 720S all have unchanged driver lineups from the last race in Silverstone, and they complete the 10 strong GT3 grid and the 44-car field for the final round of the 2026 Michelin Le Mans Cup.
