Graff to Head The Field on Saturday’s Feature Race

The no39 Graff Norma-Nissan will lead the 50 car field over the start line, after Eric Trouillet posted a 3m54.192 lap to take pole position for the second time in the 2018 Michelin Le Mans Cup.

The session was red flagged with ten seconds on the clock after the no44 SPV Racing Ligier went off at Dunlop into the gravel to bring the session to an abrupt end. Anthony Pons was second fastest in the no30 CD Sport Norma-Nissan, 0.696s behind the lead car and nearly six tenths ahead of the third fastest car, the no11 Eurointernational Ligier of Kay Van Berlo.

In the GT3 category it was the double race winning no8 Kessel Racing Ferrari F488 of Sergio Pianezzola at the head of the category with a 4m01.382 of the 13.6km La Sarthe track, with the no71 AF Corse Ferrari of Pierguiseppe Perazzini in second place on a 4m02.748.

The second race of the Road to Le Mans weekend will take place at 11h30 on Saturday 16 June.
