Peugeot’s time of 1m53.717 came at the chequered flag at the end of a frantic session that saw several cars challenging for the top spot on the Silverstone grid, including main championship rival Arthur Rodeon in the no12 Brutal Fish by Campos Ligier.
At the end of the 15-minute session is was the no50 23Events Racing Ligier that will join the no85 Duqueine on the front row, with Le Castellet race winner Colin Queen posting a 1m54.060 lap.
Row two will be filled by the two Brutal Fish by Campos Ligier’s, with Rogeon’s no12 Ligier on 1m54.166, just 0.041s ahead of his teammate Luca Fluxa Cross in the no19 Ligier. ANS Motorsport and Nielsen Racing will be on row three for this afternoon’s race.
LMP3 Pro/Am: Another Pole Position for Alex Bukhantsov
Alex Bukhantsov continued his run of great qualifying runs, making it four poles from four attempts this season. In a red flag interrupted session due to the no62 Bretton Racing Ligier losing its rear wing on the Hangar Straight, the session went green again with five minutes left on the clock.
Linus Hellberg pushed Bukhantsov down to second spot with a flying 1m58.067 in the no48 Allay Racing Ligier. However, at the chequered flag Bukhantsov responded with a 1m57.709 to claim another championship point for pole.
Row two will be headed by the no71 Rinaldi Racing Ligier of Stefan Aust with a 1m58.248, with championship leader Eric De Doncker putting the no98 Motorsport98 on the second row for this afternoon’s race.
LMGT3: Lemeret Claims Third Pole for Code Racing Development
The no11 Code Racing Development Aston Martin Vantage will start the two hour race this afternoon at Silverstone from pole position after Stephane Lemeret claimed the top spot in GT3 with a 2m01.539 lap, the third pole for the car in 2026. The Belgian driver’s time was just 0.051s ahead of the no77 SMC Motorsport McLaren 720S of Gonzalo De Andres Martin, who will start on the front row alongside Lemeret’s Aston Martin.
Row two will be headed by the no91 Ecurie Ecosse Blackthorn Aston Martin, after Claude Bovet managed a 2m02.718 lap of the 5.891km circuit, less than a tenth ahead if the no17 Kessel Racing Ferrari.
Championship leader Philipp Sager will start in 7th place in the no10 Racing Spirit of Leman Aston Martin. The Austrian knows a win today would secure the 2026 GT3 title.
