British drivers Lee Mowle and Phil Keen will be partnered in the No7 Mercedes AMG GT3 this season. We caught up with Lee ahead of the first weekend of the Michelin Le Mans Cup where he will make his series debut at Monza.
“I am really looking forward to this weekend in Monza. It would be nice if the weather would dry out a little bit. I haven’t been round here for a couple of years and it is a phenomenal circuit.
“It was a few years ago in a BMW Z4 and we struggled. This is the first season with the Mercedes and I am doing British GT as well as the Le Mans Cup. It’s a great car to drive and the difference from the seven year old technology in the BMW to this is a big step up and gives me a lot more confidence.
“Phil (Keen) is properly quick and he is good fun to be with. He has a different style of driver coaching as well which is useful for me.”
