Portimão: What the drivers said

Portimão: What the drivers said
20/10/2017

Colin Noble: driver of the n°79 Nielsen Racing Ligier JS P3 - Nissan

“I really enjoy the track of Portimão it’s a kind of a roller coaster. We were a bit unfortunate during Free Practice with the yellow flags, Full Course Yellow and traffic so we only managed to do two flying laps. But I think the pace look strong, Anthony (Wells) got into the pace quickly, we tried a few changes so we will see how it goes tomorrow.

We’ve almost secure the second place in the championship classification so we will do everything we can to win the race on Sunday to end the season on a high note and I can’t wait for it.”

Alex Kapadia: driver of the n°14 RLR M Sport Ligier JS P3

Alex Kapadia set the quickest time of the first free practice session, here are his first impressions:

“We seem to have a car set up quite well here in Portimão, I’ve got a bit of experience around here and I’m feeling quite confident. Ross (Warburton) has also driven on this track before a little bit so I think we can have our best result of the year this weekend, I hope and we will see. But everything is looking good.

It’s a very easy track to make mistake so we will focus on making no mistakes and being quick but just quick enough to not make any errors. It’s such a bumpy circuit so easy to make small errors that can end up in losing a lot of time.
