The no55 FFF Racing Team by ACM McLaren 650S of Hiroshi Hamaguchi and Adrian Quaife-Hobbs set the quickest time in the first Free Practice session of the weekend at the Circuit Paul Ricard in France, which is Round 4 of 2016 Michelin GT3 Le Mans Cup.
Quaife-Hobbs set a 1m58.730 lap, just five hundredths faster than Victor Shaitar in the race winning no72 SMP Racing Ferrari 488 and three tenths ahead of Euan Hankey in the championship leading no34 TF Sport Aston Martin V12 Vantage.
Two Ferrari 488s were 4th and 5th fastest with Thomas Flohr in the no51 AF Corse Ferrari setting a 1m59.525, 0.1 seconds ahead of former ELMS GTE Champion Johnny Mowlem in the no25 FF Corse 488. The Porsche from Mentos Racing was 6th quickest and the no75 Optimum Racing Audi in 7th on the team’s Michelin GT3 Le Mans Cup debut.
The second Free Practice session will begin at 16h35 this afternoon.
