Leading British GT and Single Seater team Lanan Racing joins the Michelin Le Mans Cup grid for the 2018 season. In 1993 respected race engineer Graham Johnson took control of the race team and preparation business that had been founded some years before.
Over the past 25 years he has transformed it into the respected international team Lanan Racing is today.
Based in Cranfield, Bedfordshire, Lanan Racing has a single car entry with an all British driver line up of Michael Benham and Duncan Tappy, who are moving up to Le Mans Prototypes from GT racing. Benham and Tappy have scored wins in the International GT Open and they raced together in the 2017 Road to Le Mans events in a Garage 59 run McLaren 650S, finishing on the podium in the second race of the weekend.
Lanan Racing have competed in the European Le Mans Series, taking part in two races during the inaugural LMP3 season in 2015. Success came with a podium finish in Italy at the 4 Hours of Imola, with Alex Craven and Mark Shulzhitskiy finishing third in the Ginetta-Nissan.
