The no22 United Autosports Ligier was the fastest car in the first Free Practice session of the weekend in Barcelona. However, the 60-minute session was heavily interrupted by five red flags to recover cars from the gravel traps, with four occurring in the last 25-minutes.
The no22 Ligier finished the session with a best lap of 1m36.816 set by Scott Andrews, the Australian just 0.043s ahead of the second placed car, the no66 Rinaldi racing Ligier of Daniel Keilwitz.Spanish team CD Sport was third fastest with a 1m37.064 lap, 0.049s ahead of the no23 United Autosports Ligier.
The GT3 grid was headed by the no10 Racing Spirit of Leman Aston Martin, with Valentin Hasse-Clot’s lap of 1m41.425 proving to be the best of the session.The French driver was 0.312s ahead of the no51 AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3 of Kei Cozzolino and 0.726 ahead of the no63 Iron Lynx Lamborghini Huracan.
