Dutch duo Peter Kox and Nico Pronk will begin their 2017 Michelin Le Mans Cup LMP3 campaign this weekend in Italy in the No48 Kox Racing Ligier JS P3-Nissan. We caught up with Peter ahead of the first Free Practice session of the weekend.
“We are very excited to be here in Monza because this will be our first race in the Le Mans Cup. We’ll see what comes at us this weekend but we are really happy to be here. The organisation is very professional from the ELMS.
“I was last here in Monza in 2016 racing in GT which is completely different from the LMP3. Some people have tested here but we haven’t so we will see how it goes.
“Nico (Pronk) and I make a good team, we have been together for a few years now. He is a good, solid driver, he hardly makes mistakes. Obviously the LMP3 is more of a race car than a GT3 but he is adapting and it be would nice if he could get more time in the car to improve even further.”
