Motorsport 98 confirms its entry in the Michelin Le Mans Cup
28/01/2021

In these troubled times, the man in charge of the Motorsport 98 team took advantage of the winter to consider various programmes, prior to officialising his entry for an additional season in the Michelin Le Mans Cup, organised within the framework of the European Le Mans Series, and first step towards the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the World Endurance Championship. Similar to last year Motorsport 98 will enter a Ligier JSP320, with the Frenchman Dino Lunardi to support De Doncker.

“It’s a championship well organised by LMEM and it seemed interesting for me to continue in this light, because driving a Prototype remains something fabulous, explain Eric De Doncker, I thoroughly enjoy myself at the wheel of this Ligier JSP320, and it will be the case again this year. I’m really looking forward to it … “

Motorsport 98 features among the top teams of the Michelin Le Mans Cup, as proven by its 2020 season results, with a podium at the inaugural Le Castellet round, a 6th overall place in the Teams championship, and an 8th place going to Eric De Doncker and Dino Lunardi in the Drivers hierarchy.

The 2021 Michelin Le Mans Cup will take place on six meetings, respectively held in Barcelona, Le Mans (Road To Le Mans as curtain raiser for the 24 Hours of Le Mans), Monza, Le Castellet, Spa-Francorchamps and Portimão.
