The Spanish round will be followed by 120-minute races in Le Castellet, Monza, Spa-Francorchamps and Portimão, with two 55-minute races on the full 13.6km circuit at Le Mans in August.

LMP3

- Tony Wells and Colin Noble will be joining forces again for their 4th season together in the LMP3 class no7 Nielsen Racing Ligier.The British duo raced together in 2017, 2019 and 2020, taking 11 podiums, including 2 wins. In 2018 they both raced for Ecurie Ecosse / Nielsen but in separate cars.
- Dino Lunardi and Eric De Doncker also win start their 4th season as teammates in the no98 Motorsport98 Ligier.They have two podium finishes together, while De Doncker won in Portimão in 2017 with Andy Meyrick.
- United Autosports is the only team to run three cars in LMP3.The three-time ELMS LMP3 Championship winning team hasn’t done so well in the MLMC, with a best season finish of 6th overall in 2017 and 2019.Will this be their year for Le Mans Cup glory?
GT3
- Reigning GT3 Drivers Champion Rino Mastronardi has been on the podium in every MLMC race he has entered, with four wins and three third place finishes in seven races.
- Two former MLMC GT3 racers have gone onto world and Le Mans glory
oEgidio Perfetti taking the 2018/19 FIA WEC LMGTE Am title and the 2019 LMGTE Am win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Team Project One.
oPhil Hanson raced for Tockwith Motorsports in 2016 and in 2020 won the 2019/20 FIA WEC LMP2 world title and took the class win at Le Mans, along with the ELMS LMP2 title in the same season with United Autosports.
- The GT3 class will feature a Ferrari v Porsche v Mercedes battle, with four Ferrari 488 GT3s, one Porsche 911 GT3 R and one Mercedes AMG GT3 on the grid in 2021.
- Double race winner Nicolas Leutwiler will return to the MLMC behind the wheel of the no2 Prozeber Zürichsee by TFT Porsche 911 GT3 R
- German team 10Q Racing will make their MLMC debut in 2021 with a Mercedes AMG GT3, with Belgium’s Wim Spinoy and Germany’s Kenneth Heyer also making their series debuts.
- ELMS podium finisher Rahel Frey will be racing the no9 Iron Lynx Ferrari 488 GT3, as well as racing for Italian team in the ELMS and in the FIA WEC.
