The no66 Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini Huracan was the quickest car in the first 60-minute Free Practice session of the Michelin GT3 Le Mans Cup weekend at Spa-Francorchamps with Richard Abra setting a 2m21.079 lap, three tenths ahead of his nearest rival. The top five cars were covered by less than a second and featured five different manufacturers.
Second fastest was the no55 FFF Racing Team by ACM McLaren of Adrian Quaife Hobbs, with the British driver setting a time of 1m21.400. The no88 Mentos Racing Porsche of Egidio Perfetti was third, 0.5 sceonds behind the lead car, with Johnny Mowlem in the no25 FF Corse Ferrari 488 and Michael Schmetz in the no90 Autoclub Excelsior Aston Martin making up the top five runners with a time of 2m22.026.
Drivers’ Championship leaders Victor Shaitar and Aleksey Basov were 7th fastest with Shaitar setting a lap of 2m22.779. Teams’ Championship leaders TF Sport were 8th quickest in the first Free Practice session with Euan Hankey setting a 2m23.264 on the long 7km Spa circuit.
The second 60-minute Free Practice session for the Michelin GT3 Le Mans Cup will take place later today at 18h15.
