Q: Tom, Welcome to the Michelin Le Mans Cup, what attracted you to race in this championship?

I’ve been following the Michelin Le Mans Cup from the start and to me it looks like a fantastic place to go Pro/AM racing. Being on the ELMS package is a huge bonus and I like that there is a clear ladder of progression through various classes and series, all the way to Le Mans.

Q: What are your thoughts about racing on the famous circuit of the Le Mans 24 Hours for Road To Le Mans?

This is a huge highlight of the season. The Le Mans circuit is a privilege to drive and track time is quite rare, so to be able to clock up more Le Mans track mileage can only add strength to a future Le Mans 24 Hours campaign. Track experience aside, it’s always a pleasure to be involved with such a huge motorsport event, once our race is done I’ll certainly be making use of my passes and taking in the race.

Q: What is your goal for this first season in Michelin Le Mans Cup?

My personal goal is always to win but I think as a pairing our goal this year is ‘progression’. Remon is quite fresh into motorsport and we are also a new pairing. I think we’ve got the potential and the speed to win races but no doubt it won’t come easy, outside of speed there is a lot more to master, as long as we are making strides towards the top step, round by round, I think we’ll be happy.

Q: Apart from Le Mans, which circuit are you looking to racing on the most and why?

Portimão, no question about it. This circuit has been teasing me for years now, I’ve tested there more times than I can remember but never actually had the opportunity to take it on in a race. I love it, the undulations, the high-speed corners, it all flows so well. What a treat to end the season with.
