Interview with Fabio Babini (Ebimotors – Lamborghini Huracan GT3)

Fabio Babini, 2001 24 Hours of Le Mans winner in the GT Class and 2013 ELMS GTC champion, will race for the first time in the Michelin Le Mans Cup at the wheel of the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 n° 46. As an Italian driver, he told us his impressions about racing at Monza, the home of Italian Motorsport.

Q: As an Italian driver how do you feel about racing at Monza, the Home of Italian Motorsport?

Monza is one of the most exiting racetrack in the world.
Racing here is unique, the speed you can reach, the history behind the racetrack give it a special charm.

Q: Will home support give you and the other Italian drivers an advantage?

A lot of really passionate fans are used to come in Monza and for sure having Italian supporters is always an incentive. Monza, for me, for my teammate and for the Team is special because it is our home racetrack. Ebimotors is based in Cermate, 25 km far from the track.

Q: What is your favourite part of the Monza track?

The whole racetrack is my favourite part of the track. Also both of Lesmo turns and Ascari is where we can make the difference with a balanced car.

The first round of the 2017 Michelin Le Mans Cup will be held in Monza on the 13^th of May during the ELMS weekend.
