For the second time on the opening day of the first race weekend of the 2021 Michelin Le Mans Cup season the time sheet was headed by United Autosports.
Unlike the first session when the no22 Ligier was the fastest car, in FP2 it was the no23 Ligier JS P320 of Wayne Boyd which was fastest, with the British driver posting a 1m41.458 lap, exactly one second slower than Scott Andrew’s time in FP1.
Boyd’s FP2 time was 0.182 faster than the no98 Motorsport98 Ligier of Dino Lunardi and two tenths ahead of the third fastest car, which was the no22 United Autosports Ligier, with Colin Noble’s Nielsen Racing Ligier in 4th.
The two Iron Lynx Ferrari 488 GT3s were fastest in GT3, with the no8 Ferrari of Paolo Ruberti setting a 1m45.652 lap, 0.4 seconds ahead of the no9 Ferrari of Doriane Pin.The no51 AF Corse 488 made it a Ferrari 1-2-3 ahead of qualifying tomorrow, which will begin at 12h10.
