Round 3 of the 2021 Michelin Le Mans Cup will be held at the Autodromo Nationale di Monza, the spiritual home of Ferrari and more commonly known as the ‘Temple of Speed’.

The 2-hour race has attracted a large grid of 33 cars, and it will be the final event before the teams head to Le Mans for the highlight of the season, Road to Le Mans, in August.

GT3

  1. The GT3 grid will feature seven cars run by five teams – 4 x Ferrari 488 GT3, 1 x Porsche 911 GT3R, 1 x Mercedes AMG GT3 and 1 x Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3.
  2. Championship leader Rino Mastronardi will not be competing for his home race at Monza, his place in the no8 Iron Lynx Ferrari being taken by Italian Gabriele Lancieri, who will be joined by Paolo Ruberti.
  3. Round 1 winner Nicolas Leutwiler will be joined in the no2 Porsche by Julien Andlauer after he missed the race in Le Castellet.
  4. Doriane Pin and Sarah Bovy made their MLMC race debuts in Le Castellet, finishing second in the no9 Iron Lynx Ferrari.
  5. AF Corse will field two Ferrari 488 GT3s.Japan’s Ken Abe and Italian Matteo Cressoni are currently third in the championship standings in the no51 Ferrari.
  6. The no61 AF Corse Ferrari is a race-by-race entry and isn’t eligible for championship points.
  7. After missing the event in Le Castellet, German team 10Q Racing Team returns in Monza with the no93 Mercedes AMG GT3.
  8. TF Sport will make their first appearance in the MLMC this season with an Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 driven by Ben Keating and Ross Gunn


LMP3

  1. The LMP3 grid in Monza will consist of 26 cars run by 20 different teams, with either a Ligier JS P320 or a Duqueine M30-D08.
  2. Six drivers and three cars are tied on 33 points at the top of the championship table.
  3. Thanks to their race win at Le Castellet, Tony Wells and Colin Noble are leading the championship. John Schauerman and Wayne Boyd have a second and third place finish and are second in the overall classification, while a third in Barcelona and a second in Le Castellet means Matt Bell and Maurice Smith are currently third.
  4. A DNF in Le Castellet for the no22 United Autosports Ligier of Scott Andrews and Gerald Kraut dropped them to 4th in the classification after taking 25 points in Barcelona.
  5. German team Frikadelli Racing Team will make their MLMC debut in Monza.
  6. AF Corse and TS Corse are the two Italian teams on the LMP3 grid and Pietro Peccenini (no73 TS Corse Duqueine-Nissan) is the only Italian driver.
  7. The LMP3 grid in Monza will feature four race-by-race entries that won’t be eligible for championship points: No6 ANS Team JSE Management, No15 RLR MSport, No55 Rinaldi Racing and No73 TS Sport

The Monza round will take place on Saturday 10th July, the qualifying and the race will be streamed live on our YouTube page and official website.
