DKR Engineering Victorious at Le Mans - Double win for TF Sport in GT3

In glorious sunshine and with temperatures in the mid twenties, the no3 DKR Engineering Norma M30 of Jean Glorieux and Alexander Toril took the victory from pole position to score maximum points in the second race of the Road to Le Mans weekend. Race 1 winners John Falb and Sean Rayhall, in the no2 United Autosports Ligier-Nissan, took the lead after Glorieux span early in the race but the places reversed after the pitstops and Rayhall and Falb had to be content with the second step of the podium.

In the GT3 class it was two wins from two for the no97 TF Sport Aston Martin V12 Vantage of Ahmad Al Harthy and Tom Jackson. Jackson was lying second behind the no76 IMSA Performance Porsche of Raymond Narac when the French driver was handed a 3 second stop go penalty for not respecting the pitstop time. Narac pitted on the final lap and Jackson took the lead to take the chequered flag.

Race start saw the no3 DKR Engineering Norma lead the 48 strong field into the first corner.
No86 Eurointernational Ligier, the no 66 Graff Ligier and the no85 Eurointernational Ligier are the first retirements on Lap 1
No3 DKR Engineering slows on lap 4 after a spin on the kerbs. Glorieux rejoins in 4^th place, Falb takes the lead in no2 United Autosports Ligier.
No97 TF Sport Aston Martin of Ahmad Harthy leads GT3 but the no95 Spirit of Race Ferrari of Maurizio Mediani was closing the gap
Slow Zone declared after the no20 Gulf Racing Porsche span off into the gravel in Zone 4.
Glorieux starts to fight back in the No3 Norma and passes no87 RLR MSport for 3^rd just before the pitstop window opens.
No14 RLR MSport Ligier of Alex Kapadia pulls off the track into retirement.
After pitstops Alexander Toril is leading in the no3 DKR Engineering Norma M30 ahead of Sean Rayhall in the no2 Ligier.
No87 RLR MSport Ligier spins off with suspected rear suspension failure.
Christophe Ulrich is leading GT3 in the no95 Ferrari but spins at Dunlop and gets beached in the gravel
No97 TF Sport Aston Martin of Tom Jackson is now leading but was caught and passed by the no76 IMSA Performance Porsche of Raymond Narac.
Cars 11,53,91 and 12 given drive through penalties for speeding in pitlane

The third round of the Michelin Le Mans Cup will be held on the 22^nd of July in the Red Bull Ring, Austria.
