Spanish Team CD Sport Fastest in Second Practice Session in Barcelona

The second and final Free Practice session of the day saw the Spanish flagged no30 CD Sport Norma set the quickest time as the sun raced towards the horizon, with the sun setting as the chequered flag came out to end the session.

Kevin Bole-Besançon set the fastest time in the CD Sport Norma, with the French driver posting a 1m42.314 lap, which was 0.5 seconds slower than the fastest time set by the no25 Lanan Racing Norma in FP1. 

However the no25 Norma was forced to sit out the session after Michael Benham suffered a big accident after a collision with the no96 Cool Racing Ligier in the Bronze Collective Test session.  Benham was uninjured but the car needed a lot of work to get it ready for tomorrow’s qualifying and race.

The no43 Keo Racing Ligier was second quickest in LMP3,with Johan Jokinen's  lap time just 0.058 behind the fastest car and 0.111 ahead of the no39 Graff Norma of Nicolas Schatz.

The no88 Ebimotors Porsche was the quickest of the GT3 competitors with Riccardo Pera posting a 1m45.516 lap, the fastest GT3 lap time of the day. The no54 SPS Automotive Performance Mercedes AMG GT3 of Yannick Mettler was second fastest 0.207s behind the leading Porsche.  Championship leaders Luzich Racing were third fastest with Fabien Lavergne posting a 1m46.066.

Qualifying for Round 4 of the 2019 Michelin Le Mans Cup is due to start at 09h00 tomorrow morning and is followed by the 2-hour race in Barcelona at 11h00.
