The top 6 cars in the LMP3 category were Norma M30s, all split by just one second at the end of the 60-minute session. The best time set by a Ligier JS P3 was by the no4 Cool Racing of Nicolas Rondet with a 1m53.415 to place the car in 7th overall and 1.271s behind the Nielsen Racing Norma.
The fastest car in the GT3 category was the no54 SPS Automotive Performance Mercedes AMG GT3 of Yannick Mettler who set the fastest lap of the day in a time of 1m55.221. The no71 Luzich Racing Ferrari was second quickest with Fabien Lavergne finishing just 0.090 behind the Mercedes.
The next three cars were all Ferrari F488s, with the no50 Kessel Racing F488 of Oliver Hancock finishing the session with the third fastest time of 1m55.884, 0.041s ahead of the reigning champion Giacomo Piccini in the no8 Kessel Racing run Ferrari.
Qualifying for Round 1 of the 2019 Michelin Le Mans Cup will take place tomorrow, Saturday 13 April, at 11h35 CET.
