The all French team were 0.412s ahead of the second placed car, the championship leading no3 DKR Engineering Norma after Laurents Horr posted a 2m14.968 lap of Spa-Francorchamps. The fastest Ligier was once again the Belgian entered Motorsport98 Ligier-Nissan of Eric De Doncker and Dino Lunardi, which finished the day third quickest with a 2m15.787 lap time, 1.231 seconds behind the lead car.
The no99 Beechdean AMR Aston Martin Vantage of Andrew Howard and Ross Gunn was the fastest car in the GT3 class. The British team finished the second session on 2m18.329, thanks to Gunns quick lap, 0.324s faster than the best lap time in Free Practice 1. The no8 Kessel Racing Ferrari was second fastest, with the no54 SPS AutomotivePerformance Mercedes third, 2m18.576 and 2m19.043 respectively.
The H24 Racing LMPH2G completed its second practice session in the Innovation Class, with a small improvement of three tenths of a second compared to the FP1 time set by the car. Norman Nato set the car’s best time of the day with a 2m33.149.
Qualifying for Round 5 of the 2019 Michelin Le Mans Cup will take place at 10h50 tomorrow morning.
