Road To Le Mans - Race 1: Winners quotes

LMC - 15/06/2017

No2 United Autosports Ligier JS P3-Nissan

John Falb: “It was an awesome race! We were able to put the car on the second row.  I got a good start, kept my head down and pushed as hard as I could.  We had a great pitstop, Sean got out there and got us onto the top step.  This track is so epic and ever lap here is precious.”

Sean Rayhall: “Yesterday we had an engine problem and this is my first time here at Le Mans and we didn’t have any laps in the car.  So I went out qualifying cold turkey and qualified sixth.  Our guys worked all night, the entire crew on our car did not go to sleep, so big kudos to them, they really did it for us.”

Tom Jackson: “This was crazy, there is no other way to describe it.  This is my first GT3 race, I drove a GT3 car for the first time yesterday, so to do it at Le Mans and to get a first win in my first GT3 race is amazing.  In that first stint I was just trying to get the car back to Ahmad in one piece, obviously he is a very good bronze driver.  We worked our way through the field, picking up a place one by one.  The focus was more for Saturday’s race, so to do this was a bit unexpected but I think the smiles on our faces wont be gone for a long time.”

Ahmad Al Harthy: “This is such a proud moment for me to be the first Omani winner at Le Mans.  After everything we have been doing, we have been talking about how special this circuit is here at Le Mans and when we got the chance to race here this weekend we dived for it.  We came here to get some experience but to come here and win is fantastic.”
